5 REASONS TO READ TO CHILDREN
When children are listening to the narrative, the mind is imagining the story. For example, ‘the frog jumped the trunk’. I’ve seen a frog before, I’ve seen a log before. What’s the point of that?”
According to my speculation, the different levels of brain activation suggest that children who are more practiced in developing these visual images, while looking at pictures in books and listening to narrations, can develop skills that will later help them to compose images and stories from words. I also believe that reading should be encouraged from an early age and that this habit as a family is the best form of stimulus. That’s why I have reserved 5 great reasons for fathers and mothers to read more to their children. Check this out:
1: READING INCREASES THE BOND BETWEEN PARENT AND CHILDREN
The simple act of reading aloud is already calming and acts on brain development, helping babies to identify the voice and have it as a haven. A year ago my elder sister brought together 116 families in stressful situations and proved that reading to children has a calming effect and brings a feeling of intimacy, control, and normality. It’s like a lullaby. You’re cradling your child with words. Reading before bed improves sleep and also reduces stress for little ones. After a long day, reading is infallible to prepare the environment and make them comfortable to rest. In addition, the literature makes the bond between baby and mommy/daddy even stronger. Through the sounding of words and intonation of the voice, the baby starts to recognize his/her caregiver more each day.
2: SMALLER READERS TEND TO BECOME MORE ARTICULATE AND INTELLIGENT ADULTS

Cognitive aspects, especially language development, are at the top of the benefits people remember when it comes to encouragement. Reading acts in the construction of the role of citizen which, combined with the health of the body, will also mean the quality of life of the little ones. In the case of babies born with a disability, even the brain can create new connections to supply lost skills, with the stimulus of telling stories.
3: ITS THE BEST WAY TO EXPLAIN COMPLEX ISSUES AND HELP INTERPRET FEELING
This moment cannot become a mechanical activity to read just for the sake of reading. This is the opportunity you create for the little ones to reflect, analyze and talk about the story. Many of the conflicts experienced by the characters can, in different situations, be the same as those experienced by the little ones. And identifying yourself is a very important step in self-knowledge and in verbalizing your feelings.
4: READING INCREASE THE CULTURAL REPERTOIRE
Who has never been surprised by a little one’s oratory about something that not even an adult would say with the same wisdom? Children surprise all the time, showing themselves to be smarter than we think. But where do they get all this knowledge? From your cultural repertoire! Of the things they see, hear, experience, discover, read. The journeys they take in the world of stories, the content they consume, and their references at home, at school, and with friends. That’s why you must involve your child in the best that shared reading has to offer both of you. The habit of reading in childhood collaborates with learning, from the formation of words and the structuring of sentences to the memorization of spelling rules. In addition to the presentation of numbers, letters, historical contexts, and knowledge in the field of geography. For all that, children’s books are great tools in the education of children and can be used in different ways in the classroom. The teacher can explore children’s literature in different ways: stories can be exchanged and told among children, staged in plays, transformed into drawings and paintings, or even in other texts.
5: WHAT DRIVES A CHILD TO READ IS AN EXAMPLE.
These words are me. And I think I am right! Reading is not a talent, it’s a habit. That’s why it’s far less likely that a little one will become a reader spontaneously or solely through outside influence. So read it too! Teach your child the pleasure of reading. Reading is too important and beneficial for you to leave the role of introducing your child to the school alone. If you want to encourage the habit of reading at home too I can write blogs for you on any title you preferred just click on this link and you will know what am capable of
